Paralegal

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Paralegal to join our team as a generalist. 

The successful candidate will be required to manage complex and sensitive files efficiently and effectively. We often deal with clients during one of the most emotional times of their lives. The successful candidate will need to be able to exhibit interpersonal skills while ensuring file progression. 

Experience

Candidates will require the following experience:

• Associate Degree in Legal Practice (Paralegal) or equivalent industry experience;
• Drafting  legal documents;
• Experience dealing with complex and sensitive matters; 
• Experience in briefing and instructing counsel, valuers, psychologists and other  professionals (highly regarded).

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication;
• Strong and confident advocacy skills;
• Strong and confident advisory skills;
• Strong legal research skills;
• Ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced dynamic environment;
• Effectively manage competing deadlines and priorities;
• Interpersonal skills; and
• Bilingual (preferred).
